After a year of hard work, we are finally able to see the results that we were hoping for. The “Sex in School” educational video is receiving local and national attention. Listen for it on NPR next week. It’s refreshing to see the power people have to advocate for themselves when giving the tools to do so.

Mayor Thomas Menino is using the “Go Green, See Green” video created by Sociedad Latina Youth Community Organizers in his community workshops on climate action. The first workshop, tailored to high school students, will take place Feb. 27 at the Old South Church from 11 am to 2 pm. Four additional neighborhood based workshops are scheduled for March; visit the city’s web site for more information.
